Clearly we want people to understand and back the moral, social or even the economic arguments. We want people, communities and organisations to support diversity because it is the right thing to do. But for many though these arguments are not important. For these the focus on equality and diversity is often about avoiding the consequences of getting it wrong. And these consequences can be huge!
