Social Enterprise Services
Social enterprises generate economic, social and environmental benefits across all communities. Social enterprises are simply businesses fundamentally driven by a social mission. For communities they offer:
- help for disadvantaged people to get into employment;
- creation of new jobs through work integration programmes or through new employment opportunities;
- increased employability through raising individual skills levels;
- goods and services needed by their communities but ignored by private enterprise;
- local recycling of money through local service provision and purchase;
- motivation of local people and the creation of local role models;
- strength through bringing the socially excluded into society and disadvantaged into employment; and
- empowerment and local democracy through participation in community events and initiatives.
Natty Platy combines its many years experience of social enterprise strategy development and implementation with its community engagement skills to give social enterprise the best possible chance of success.
Current projects include working with public sector organisations to 'spin out' services that will no longer be delivered by the public sector but for which there is a strong demand.
