Equality and Diversity Training

Like communities, the needs of organisations vary considerably and, using a core programme of generic training activities, Natty Platy works with clients to develop and deliver a development programme that meets their needs exactly. The following three modules form the foundation on which we work with clients to build a programme to meets their specific needs:

Essential Equality and Diversity

An introduction to the principles of equality and diversity creating an understanding of their practical implications in a work environment.  This is the basic minimum that all employees should attend.

Engagement for Equality and Diversity

Develops an understanding of the imperatives of engaging with diverse communities and the subsequent benefits this can bring.  This encourages participants to identify barriers to engagement within their own organisations and equips them to eliminate these barriers.  It also enables participants to explore a variety of practical ways to plan and execute effective engagement.

Managing Equality and Diversity

Gives participants an excellent understanding of management principles relating to equality and diversity. It provides a practical exploration of relevant legislation and its application; equips participants to maximise the value of diversity within the workplace; and embeds equality and diversity within the development, implementation and delivery of services.

Developing programmes

Training does not start and end in the classroom. Natty Platy offers a unique combination of research, training, refreshers and ongoing evaluation to get the best from training, to build and maintain a momentum and to prove the impact your investment is generating.

See the e-support page for more information on how Natty Platy pulls these elements together.
