Within most development programmes there is a strong element of research, benchmarking and analysis relating to equality and diversity and this is part of a wider consultancy portfolio. Natty Platy offers a mentor and support service particularly suitable for employees with a specific responsibility for equality and diversity issues or alternatively for people who are struggling with the concepts of equality and diversity! We can also help set up employee forums, service user forums, member forums or any other stakeholder forum.

Not only does Natty Platy train people on community engagement and consultation, we work with organisations to plan and/or execute engagement and consultation programmes, particularly with groups that an organisation has found difficult to engage with.

Impact audit

In addition to benchmarking, programme evaluation and continuous evaluation of equality and diversity development programmes, we also offer equality impact assessment.

Black employee forum

Supported a public body to set up a black employees forum to provide:

  • a safe environment for black staff to share experiences;
  • a mechanism to challenge poor practise with the organisation;
  • a sounding board for senior staff on race related issues; and
  • a buddy system for black employees.

This increased productivity, improved customer service, resulted in better compliance with the law and embedded good practise into the organisation for the inspection and regulatory framework.
